Peter Chapman
At a crowded meeting in Beaconsfield Town Hall on October 19, local party members chose Peter Chapman as their prospective parliamentary candidate for the next general election. It is widely expected that Tony Blair will call the election for May 5, 2005.
Peter Chapman has lived at Gerrards Cross in the Beaconsfield constituency since 1977. He is a retired businessman and vice-chairman of Gerrards Cross Parish Council. Other community activities include serving on independent education appeal tribunals and he has just joined the board of visitors of Aylesbury Young Offender Institution.
Peter has been married to Pat for 32 years and they have two adult children.
Peter enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities from gardening to cycling and from cross-country skiing to mountain climbing.
